Oscars or All Star game?
Today was a pretty eventful day. I went to church for the first time being at Urbana and I have to say I got pretty emotional. I never cried in a church before, but there’s a first for everything. The girls even before my pew were asking ” Is she crying?”. I bet they thought someone died. Someone did die today: My old self. I feel before today I have been living a life devoted to my current pressure by myself, family and peers: my future and my success, with no time for any present happiness. I called myself a Christian and I was apart of IV but wasn’t fulling apart of God. Today I asked god to take me back to him, let do things for my happiness and for the happiness of others all under him. I’ve been so caught up in medical school, socializing, my hair, and my off and on relationship with my boy bff that i never took the time to see what makes me happy. God wants us to live peacefully and with purpose, a purpose of living to the fullest potential even if im not the smartest or prettiest richest or most fascinating. Today he told me that you are perfect the way you are and must see that I’m always with you, even when you are not with me. He has a path for me. He still wants me to work hard, make those friends, be with Kush (possibly, you stil need to help me with this one) but still remember when those things to do work in my favor I still have him, I still have my spirituality. I also when to grab donations today for global medical training. Kinda a fail. I only make $40 and we went to about 20 houses. Most people were very kind to us, they just didn’t want to donate. I really appreciated their kindness because I’m definitely not the type of person who like knocking on people’s doors. There is still kindness in this harsh world. Tonight I’m going to go around in LAR and ask for more donations and I’m debating between watching the All star game or the oscars. All I know is there is going to be a lot of couple fighting for the remote tonight haha.
